If you have never attended or participated in any of the popular operator contests, you don’t know what you’re missing!
Not only are they exciting opportunities to showcase operator ingenuity, know-how and skills, but they demonstrate the effectiveness and professionalism among those in the water and wastewater community.
Whether its the WEAT Ops Challenge, or TAWWA Pipe Tapping, Tops Ops, or Meter Madness, these high energy events are some of the fun and excitement that make Texas Water 2010™ the premier water event in Texas.
And don't forget your utility can and should enter the Best Tasting Drinking Water in Texas event for fun and bragging rights.
In all of these events, the winners will represent Texas at either the AWWA ACE '10 in June in Chicago or the WEFTEC Conference next October in New Orleans.

WEAT Ops Challenge and Texas Shoot Out - Come see some of the best wastewater collection and treatment personnel in Texas display their skills. Teams are evaluated for five events (collection systems, laboratory, process control, maintenance and safety), each designed to test the diverse skills required for the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, their collection systems and laboratories.
